Balanced Living Expert Susan Sly Concludes 3 Part Series on Leadership Development – Whether Leaders Are Born or Made – by Examining The “Leaders Are Made” Argument

Best-Selling Author Susan Sly concludes this leadership development series by exploring the “leaders are made” argument in response to the question as to whether leaders are born with these qualities or whether they are developed over time.

Scottsdale, AZ. — March 30, 2016 — Best-selling author, speaker, and entrepreneur Susan Sly recently published the last article in her leaders born or made series, “Leadership Development: Are Leaders Born or Made? Part 3 – The ‘Leaders Are Made’ Argument.”  In this part of the series, Susan shares how the ‘leaders are made’ group argues that – while people can be born with leadership traits – a leader is made through training and leadership development experiences.

They contend a person can be born pre-disposed with the features that make a person ripe for leadership, but that leadership development is still needed.

Susan then ends her analysis by indicating her full examination of this question showed this was in fact where most experts seem to settle—that leadership is 1/3 ‘born’ and 2/3 ‘made’.
