Balanced Living & Productivity Expert Susan Sly Releases New Article About Getting Organized in 2017 and the Need to Have a Last Will and Testament as Part of this Process

Best-selling author, time management expert, work life balance specialist and professional speaker Susan Sly shares how why having a will is important to getting organized in 2017.

Scottsdale, AZ — February 9, 2017 — Best-selling author, work life balance speaker and expert, and entrepreneur Susan Sly recently published a new article titled, “Getting Organized in 2017 – Do You Need a Will?”

As Susan says in the opening of the article, “Part of getting organized in life – or organizing your life – is preparing for the future. And as unpleasant as this may be to consider… possibly, a future without you.”

To this end, she stresses the importance of having a will, or Last Will and Testament as it’s officially know. She supports this recommendation with the idea that having a will is a big part of making sure your affairs are in order—a crucial element of getting organized.

Furthermore, she adds, even though it may not be something that feels great to think about or plan for your passing at first, it surprisingly reduces stress about the possibility. Once it’s done, you’ll them know you’ve ensured things will be handled the way you want them to be when you’re gone.

Additionally, Susan explains, having a will also protects your hard work and effort if you’re an entrepreneur. Thus, your will should also include what you would like to happen to your business. Details include who will get your interest (if you are not incorporated) and who you would like to step into your place as leader if this is not outlined anywhere else.

From there, Susan goes on to provide six very specific suggestions for how to make sure your will is comprehensive. This includes things like how to get organized regarding your assets by creating a written inventory with associated value, considering inheritance and state taxes, listing beneficiaries for all assets, choosing executors, deciding on guardians if you have minor children, and deciding where your will is going to be stored and who will know that information and be able to access it.
