Portland, ME, September 25, 2014: Owner and Founder of The Plastic Surgery Center, Dr. Verne Weisberg posted a new blog on his website entitled, “Consider An Eye Opening Look for the New Year.” Despite the use of the most advanced creams and lotions and potions, the eyes of many adults begin to develop a sad look as they get older.
According to Dr. Weisberg, “The first signs of aging generally appear around the eyes. The skin of the eyelids stretches and sags creating a tired or sad look.” He also suggests that anyone who has been considering an eye procedure, “Make the coming New Year the one that you enter looking rested, relaxed and rejuvenated by treating yourself to an eyelift procedure. “
While some treatments may be medically necessary, most will be desired to reverse the typical signs of aging. Dr. Verne says that in a medically necessary condition, “the eyelid actually hangs over allowing the eyelashes to interfere with your vision.”
Selecting a board certified surgeon should be a top priority according to Weisberg. He recommends exploring “the websites of board certified surgeons and schedule consultations with several.” In addition, he continues, “You may discover in your consultations that one procedure will not accomplish your desired look.”
