Rock Star Photographer®, Brook Pifer, Selected as Winner of Digital Self-Promo Award For Video

Brook Pifer, Rock Star Photographer®, Recently selected as the winner for the PDN Photographer’s Self-Promo Awards, in the Digital Self-Promotions Category. 

Orlando, Fla. – August 26, 2009 – Brook Pifer, Orlando/New York-based photographer, was recently selected for the Photo District News (PDN) 25th Annual Photographer’s Self-Promo Awards.  Her video was selected in the digital self-promotions category, which included web sites, email blasts, multimedia pieces and social network promotions.  

The video called “Lip Dub – Don’t Stop Believing by Journey” made its way around various online video outlets earlier this year.  The video featured many prominent musicians and artists lip-syncing to the popular Journey song.  The video showcased Brook’s lighting, filming and editing skills, while infusing a free-flowing, exciting and personable style of which her photography is known for. 

Brook works with celebrities, cutting edge publications and prestigious commercial clients all over the globe.  She has won many awards, participated in judging panels, spoken at industry functions, exhibited her work in group and solo shows, been interviewed for print and online publications and was recently featured on MTV shooting platinum recording artist Sean Kingston. 

The PDN 25th Annual Photographer’s Self-Promo Awards stared accepting applicants in various categories earlier this spring, and will be showcasing the selected photographers in their 2009 October issue as well as online http://www.pdnonline.com.  The judges in the contest included:

About Brook Pifer:

After many school portraits gone bad (red lipstick, frown, missing bangs) Brook Pifer started taking photos in the 2nd grade and her lifelong goal to be a veterinarian was put to rest.
