Budding Entrepreneur Buys into High-End Men’s Barber Club

WINTER PARK, FLA. — Adam T. Wonus, a Loan Acquisition Officer at Mercantile Commercial Capital (MCC), is the new co-owner of CARRS: The All-American Barber Club™ in Winter Park, right on Park Avenue.  The barber shop, located at 346 S. Park Avenue, will only be 2 blocks away from what will soon be MCC’s new location inside the headquarters of the Emergent National Bank.

Wonus, a budding entrepreneur and protégé of Christopher G. Hurn, President/CEO/Cofounder of MCC, is following Hurn’s recommendation to hold a grand reopening from July 14th until the end of the month.  As a way to redevelop the concept in prestigious Winter Park, the first 250 gentlemen to schedule an appointment at the CARRS Winter Park location, will receive a free haircut and straight razor shave.

“I’ve always encouraged my employees to develop an entrepreneurial spirit and mindset while they work here,” said Hurn.  “I’m glad Adam’s found such a great concept that’s so close to our future offices and will allow him to manage both his present career with us and this new enterprise down the street.”

“I feel very fortunate to have Chris as a mentor.  It’s not every day you get a guy in your corner that’s done as much as he has, even as young as he is . . . like starting and managing one of America’s fastest-growing companies [Mercantile was #245 on last year’s Inc. 500 list],” said Wonus.  “Few business owners are as confident and encouraging as he has been with me about my CARRS purchase.”
