Business Coach and Best-Selling Author, Ahmed Abdulbaqi, Talks About Responsibility Versus Control

Best-Selling Author® and Business Coach, Ahmed Abdulbaqi, tells readers that leadership in business is based on being responsible instead of being in control of circumstances and the behavior of others. He also sheds light on the difference between the two.

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – January 23, 2018 – Ahmed Abdulbaqi, The Growth Coach franchise owner, and co-author of the Best-Selling book, The Art Of Success with Jack Canfield, posted a new article on his company website entitled “The Delusion Of Control.” Being the boss is something many people aspire to when starting a new business. Mr. Abdulbaqi helps clarify the meaning of what defines a real “boss” or leader.

Ahmed AbdulbaqiAbdulbaqi writes, “Being in control means different things to different people.” He continues to elaborate, “Unfortunately many small business owners confuse control with responsibility. They mistakenly think that being in control is being responsible, however, that is not the case.”

According to Abdulbaqi, “The very notion of having to be “in control” is derived from FEAR: Fear of losing money, time and resources. Building a business from the perspective of fear is not as rewarding as building a business from joy, abundance and happiness.”

“Typically,” says Abdulbaqi, “people go into business for themselves in order to create a life of freedom.” He adds, “While it is natural to have some nervous jitters when launching into the unknown, that is different from operating from a mindset of fear. Every actor experiences a healthy bit of stage fright no matter how many times they’ve performed. But those jitters dissipate shortly after the actor is on the stage or in front of the camera.”

Abdulbaqi points out, “For a businessperson who functions from fear, sooner or later you will feel imprisoned. You will come to discover that you’ve created a “job” for yourself rather than a fully leveraged system that in the future can be sold or at least fully run without your presence.” He adds, “The latter option provides the true freedom to expand and enjoy a richer life. But of course that goal will be impossible to achieve if you live in a constant state of fear.”
