As a business owner for the past 17 years I understand the importance our businesses have to the health and well being of our local economy. Independent Businesses offer a wide range of products and services to our community while employing thousands of Delaware citizens. Our State’s and our National Economic recovery rests on the shoulders of all Independent Business owners. For that reason, myself and the other sponsors of this resolution have been working hard to create an environment in our state that fosters growth and innovative thinking with in our local businesses.”

Chuck remarked, “The small, independent business owner makes hard choices every day. I truly believe that we will come through these challenging economic times due to the hard work of small business owners. It is encouraging that the State of Delaware has taken a few moments during the current session to also recognize the contribution small business owners and entrepreneurs are making to the economic recovery.”

Chuck has recently launched a Facebook page for Independent Business Owners Day as a place for Delaware Business Owners and others to help bring awareness to the importance of independent business owners to the state economy and beyond.
