Poplar Bluff, MO – February 22, 2016: Dwayne Foster, Author, Speaker, President & CEO of Stinson Press, Inc, posted a new blog on his website entitled, “Growth Fluctuates, Yet Christian Churches Remain Strong.” Mr. Foster writes, “I find the vast fluctuation among religious/church-going denominations throughout the U.S. fascinating.”
Continuing, Foster states, “While some churches experience limited growth then whither and fade, other churches begin small and experience explosive growth. The reasons for these highs and lows of course vary dramatically, but it made me wonder about the actual growth of churches in America.”
Foster shares, “Just the other day I came across an article in Chritianitytoday.com that states, “Christianity’s share of the population may be decreasing, but the evangelicals’ share of Christianity is growing.” He continues adding, “Intrigued, I read on to discover this opinion was based on the latest Pew Research Center study. The author writes, “The stark figures of one church compared to an entire denomination suggest noteworthy trends and scope of the changing church in America.”
According to Foster, “Whether a community church ages out or declines for other reasons, there is another vibrant growing church exploding with hope and life somewhere around the corner or in the next county or state. It’s the circle of life in which hope springs eternal!”
