Dwayne Foster, President and CEO of Stinson Press, Inc. recognizes that many people don’t really understand what it means to lead by serving others and clarifies the role of leader as one who serves.

Poplar Bluff, MO – April 4, 2016:  Dwayne Foster, Author, Speaker, President & CEO of Stinson Press, Inc, posted a new article on his website entitled, “Leaders as Servants.” An outdated view of a leader might conjure up images of booming voices and pounding fists and terror among followers. This is not the kind of leadership Mr. Foster promotes in his latest article.

Foster writes, “As a Certified John Maxwell Life Coach, one of the most significant lessons I’ve learned that seems to help others most is the concept of leader as server.” He continues adding, “Many people have the roles reversed thinking that leaders somehow coerce or persuade others to follow them by some force of will. That could not be further from the truth.”

As Foster points out, “In order to be a true leader, one must serve and give to others. It can get a little tricky in today’s world.” Foster continues saying, “I look for articles that resonate this truth and came across one the other day on the Huffington Post site entitled “Leaders Lead by Serving: Do You?” (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/ron-mirenda/leaders-lead-by-serving-d_b_232726.html)

“Serving others and helping to add value to people’s lives,” writes Foster, “is the responsibility of those in leadership roles. However some leaders find themselves in those positions without having a clear understanding of what it means to serve. The Huffington Post piece spells it out nicely and I am sharing the attributes as they were posted.”

Foster shares the five leadership qualities, and adds, “Creating a culture of service in your business or corporation is one of the finest ways to contribute to the success of your community and our country.”
