Dr. Veronica Anderson, Founder and Host of web radio talk show, Wellness for the Real World, a weekly resource for wellness of mind, body and spirit, explains her stand on hormone treated meat products and their impact on physical health.

NEW YORK, NY – February 8, 2011 – Dr. Veronica Anderson, Founder and Host of health and wellness web radio talk show, Wellness for the Real World, recently published a blog on her website www.drveronica.com about recent medical research related to hormone treated meats and their affects on fertility, cancer and other problems. The blog, titled “My View on Hormones in Food” offers three problems that have been shows to be possibly related to of hormone-injected meat consumption.

Dr. Anderson writes, “Recent news article published on the Huffington Post (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/01/31/hormones-in-food-should-y_n_815385.html) captures the picture of American mass food production today perfectly: “A salmon that grows to market size twice as fast as normal. Dairy cows that produce 15 percent more milk. Beef cows that grow 20 percent faster.” Whether you support this movement for hyper-production of meat or not, your choices are limited to buying organic or buying into the injected, implanted and genetically engineered super-growth meat that’s more commonly produced in this country… I’m not sold on hormone growth. Here’s why.”

“Science is still evaluating many of these claims, however, I recommend that we be safe now by consuming as little as possible of food products with hormones. Purer is better, always, so eat grass-feed beef or other meats that are not raised with hormones,” asserts Dr. Anderson.

Wellness for the Real World features information on developing a healthy and fit mind, body and spirit in today’s dynamic society. Dr. Anderson adds her easily understandable, fun-infused voice to the broad-audience discussion on today’s most popular medicines, alternative treatments, health policies and opinions of wellness – so that her listeners can benefit from truly vigorous life in the real world today.
