ATLANTA, GA, May 30, 2019: Founder and Owner of Oculus Plastic Surgery and Specialty Surgery Center, Harvey “Chip” Cole, III, MD, FACS posted a new blog on the Oculus website entitled, “Sun Sun Sun Here It Comes,” in which Dr. Cole emphasizes the importance of daily sunscreen use.

“Spring is here,” writes Dr. Cole. He continues, “The warmer weather temps even the most die-hard homebody into the fresh air and sunshine after a long dreary winter. Dreams of lounging, like a cat or a lizard on a sunny spot in the park, poolside or at the beach dance in the heads of winter weary humans.”  “In the rush to spend time out of doors,” says Dr. Cole, “I want to urge you not to forget to first apply, then pack the sunscreen for reapplication to the face throughout the day.”

Dr. Cole asks readers to, “Remember that the skin is the largest organ in the human body.” He adds, “It is constantly being bombarded and damaged by the effects of sun exposure (and smoke). In fact, besides aging and the natural repetitive movements of the facial muscles, sun is the biggest culprit when it comes to skin aging and damage.” He states, “This makes a broad-spectrum sunscreen a non-negotiable part of your healthy skin care regiment.”
