ATLANTA, GA, April 15, 2019: Founder and Owner of Oculus Plastic Surgery and Specialty Surgery Center, Harvey “Chip” Cole, III, MD, FACS posted a new blog on the Oculus website entitled, “Eye Spy….”  His reputation as “the eye guy” allows Dr. Cole to take a playful and lighthearted approach in his area of expertise.

Dr. Cole asks, “Remember ‘I spy’, that fun game you play to help children make it through long car trips without driving you crazy?” “Well,” he continues, “as we men and women age, we play our own version of the game. Only I call it, ‘eye spy’.”

“Have you ever examined your face closely in a mirror?” Dr. Cole asks, answering, “I know you have. We all do it.” He elaborates, “When we’re young, we’re constantly looking for the first signs of aging. Some people panic at the first subtle sign of a wrinkle. Others lose their cool over the first gray hair.” He adds, “Some people never stop looking for facial flaws.”

According to Dr. Cole, “Typically, though, the eyes are where most men and women start to show their age. Crinkles (crow’s feet) on the side of the eyes, the elevens, those parallel lines between the eyes developed from furrowing the brows. Some people develop bags and droopy upper eyelids. Some people are born with droopy eyelids and bags and always look tired even when they’re not.”
