Real Estate Marketing Firm Lucky Buys Yucky Houses™ Discusses TV Marketing Versus Direct Mailing

Posted by Lindsay Dicks on May 28th, 2008

Sean Flanagan of Lucky Buys Yucky Houses debates the differences between television marketing and other popular forms of mass marketing.

Orlando, Fla. –May 28, 2008- Sean Flanagan, founder of Lucky Buys Yucky Houses™, recently published an article on his popular real estate investment website, http://www.yuckyhouseleads.com, challenging the effectiveness of some of the standard methods of mass marketing in the arena of real estate investment leads.  The article entitled “The Gurus Have Blatantly Lied to You,” discusses the shortcomings of several traditional methods of mass marketing such as direct mailing, bandit signs, classified ads, and door knocking.  Flanagan mostly focuses on the differences between direct mailing and television advertising, as well as the reasons why “gurus” in the real estate investment industry often mislead investors as to the effectiveness and cost of certain types of mass marketing.

In the article, founder of Lucky Buys Yucky Houses™ Sean Flanagan said, Gurus want you to believe that they are
the most effective form of marketing simply because they can all be done on a shoestring budget. This is not always the case!  Although some of these forms of marketing for motivated sellers have their place, they just shouldn’t be the first weapons of choice.”

Flanagan describes the “best” forms of mass marketing as those that reach the largest amount of qualified prospects in the quickest and most efficient way possible, while “clearly communicating a strong call to action.”  According to Flanagan, a television advertisement with a memorable message lends you or your company instant credibility, as well as trust in the eyes of prospects.   For this reason, Flanagan argues that television advertising gives you the most “bang for your buck.”

Orlando Music Lawyer Nick Nanton Speaks Out on American Idol Finalist David Archuleta

Posted by Lindsay Dicks on May 20th, 2008

The Salt Lake Tribune quotes Orlando music lawyer and voting member of the Grammy® Awards, Nick Nanton, Esq., “The Celebrity Lawyer,” regarding his opinion of this season’s American Idol finalists.

Orlando, Fla.- May 20, 2008- Nick Nanton, Esq., Orlando based music lawyer, recently lent his opinion to The Salt Lake Tribune about this season’s American Idol finalists.

Nick Nanton, Esq. writes a popular music industry blog (http://theindielawyer.blogspot.com) where nine weeks ago he predicted who would be in American Idol’s top two. Nanton’s top two predictions of both David Archuleta and David Cook came true last Wednesday night. Nanton’s blog, and predictions, caught the attention of the Salt Lake Tribune in an article titled “David Archuleta: What’s next for Utah’s ‘American Idol’ star?” by David Burger. Burger asked Nick Nanton, Julianne Hough (Dancing with the Stars), Erykah Badu (4 Time GRAMMY® Winning Singer) and a who’s who of pundits the following question, “What should David Archuleta do to have a successful career in music beyond these first 15 minutes of fame?” The article quoted Nanton as saying “I would advise David to focus on being the kind of singer he is. He strikes me as an adult contemporary singer, like a Josh Groban or Norah Jones, who could likely have some crossover success to the pop charts. If he tries to put on a show and look like something he’s not, he will get thrown to the wolves.”

Asked about his quote in The Salt Lake Tribune, Nick Nanton, Esq. added, “I’m a huge fan of the marketing machine that the folks over at American Idol have put together.  You may not love the show, and I actually do, but you’ve got to respect the numbers they put up consistently.  Many people knock the process, but the fact of the matter is, American Idol lets “armchair quarterbacks” call the plays in the music business which is a lot of fun and has obviously been received very positively by fans across the country.  I wish David Archuletta and David Cook both the best of luck in the finals.  I think David Archuleta will win, and I think they will both sell lots of records…but if I had to guess, I would guess that David Cook will sell more records over the long run.”

About Nick Nanton, Esq.:

Nick Nanton, Esq. is a music attorney with more than a decade of experience in the entertainment industry. He is an award-winning songwriter and producer, and spent much of his career as an artist manager. Nanton has been a member of The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences since 2001 and casts a vote on the Annual GRAMMY® Awards. Nanton is the managing partner of the law firm Dicks & Nanton, PA and the co-author of the book “Celebrity Branding You” as well as the educational course “How To Make More than Milk Money in the Music Biz” with Bob Baker, author of the best-selling “Guerilla Music Marketing Handbook.” For more information about Nanton visit http://www.NickNanton.com

Orlando Home Healthcare Provider Keep My Parents At Home™ Lists Technologies to Improve Senior Care

Posted by Lindsay Dicks on May 14th, 2008

Keep My Parents At Home™ founder Raymond Reiss, discusses home-based technologies that can improve senior care

Orlando, Fla. – May 13, 2008 - In an article on the newly-launched website, http://www.KeepMyParentsAtHome.com Orlando, Fla. based home healthcare provider, Keep My Parents At Home™ founder Raymond Reiss wrote about speaking with Majd Alwan from The Center for Aging Services Technologies about new aging service technologies.  According to Alwan, there are three categories that such technologies fall under: “safety/environment,” “health and wellness,” and “social connectedness.”

Those that fall into the “safety/environment” category are designed to detect or prevent falls. These can either be pendant or wristbands equipped with an emergency push button, or they could be devices that are “embedded in the environment.” The embedded technology can detect floor vibrations, or motions and images.  As for “health and wellness,” there are systems that can monitor glucose, blood pressure and even sleep disturbance and restlessness. The systems can then send that information to selected health care providers.  Lastly, under “social connectedness,” seniors, who try devices such as Nintendo’s Wii, appear to be hooked despite the out of pocket expenses. There are also video equipped phones that help seniors stay in touch with family members.

Raymond Reiss, Founder and CEO said in the article “We keep up with all the latest technologies and are familiar with many of those inventions which are currently being marketed, or under development. We want to keep our clients up to date with the latest because we believe it is one key to reducing senior care cost and improving quality of care.”

Orlando Health and Exercise Franchise SuperSlow Zone® Assures Clients With IACET Accreditation

Posted by Lindsay Dicks on May 9th, 2008

SuperSlow Zone®, Orlando’s distinctive health and exercise franchise, responds to CBS News report by educating its clients about the value of its IACET accreditation.

Orlando, Fla. – May 9, 2008 – SuperSlow Zone®, headquartered in Orlando, Fla., recently responded to a CBS News report entitled, “Certified Personal Trainers.”  The report, which ran on April 3, shed a negative light on the personal training industry by focusing on the lack of regulations and professional standards.  Although the report was unfavorable, CEO of SuperSlow Zone®, LLC, Madeline Ross agreed that the personal training market is, for the most part, undisciplined.  To avoid this, and to institute professional standards, Ross has made the IACET accreditation a priority of the SuperSlow Zone® franchise.

IACET (http://www.iacet.org) is known as the premier, standard-setting organization for continuing education and training providers.  IACET Authorized Providers complete a comprehensive application and undergo a strict evaluation of their educational processes according to the ANSI/IACET standards. Only IACET Authorized Providers can offer the IACET CEU, the hallmark of quality in continuing education and training.

“Our focus has been to continually maintain SuperSlow Zone® with professional standards through our accreditation by IACET and through the design, development and functioning of the SuperSlow Zone® locations,” said Ross. “SuperSlow Zone® Institute is the organization through which Certified SuperSlow® Instructors maintain their annual certification by fulfilling Continuing Education Units. This, of course, is a requirement of IACET and essential for the continual development of the SuperSlow Zone® personnel.  The lack of accredited personal training certifications and, hence, the lack of continual education, is exactly the target of the CBS reporting.”For more information about SuperSlow Zone® please visit http://www.SuperSlowZone.com.
