Emergency Preparedness Expert Larry Frank a.k.a Mr. Prepared™ Responds To Recent Disasters

Mr. Prepared™, in light of recent disasters, emphasizes the importance of emergency preparedness, even in the most unlikely circumstances.

Orlando, Fla. – July 3, 2008 – In a recent article on http://www.MrPrepared.com, emergency preparedness expert, Larry Frank a.k.a. Mr. Prepared™, highlights recent examples of stellar preparedness, as well as examples of some being unprepared, amidst recent disaster situations around the country.  The article titled “You Can’t Outsmart Nature” challenges the notion that being prepared is not necessary for everyone.  Mr. Prepared™ cites an example of an Iowa driving range owner who was consistently told that his property would never flood.  Of course, the recent flooding in the area was the worst in nearly 500 years, some estimate.  Mr. Prepared™ uses this example to emphasize the importance of always being prepared for any disaster or emergency situation, no matter how likely or unlikely the situation may seem.

Further in the article, Mr. Prepared™ praises the preparedness of an Iowan Boy Scout troop whose camp was ravaged by a tornado.  The Boy Scout troop had recently engaged in emergency drills, monitored the weather and found the safest place to be should a storm hit; subsequently, they were able to ride out the storm.  The scouts then used their first aid skills to help the injured.  Larry Frank a.k.a. Mr. Prepared™ wrote, “As awful as the experience was, it all could have been a whole lot worse – which is why I admire the scouting program so much!   Any organization that has “Be Prepared” for a slogan has to be Mr. Prepared’s™ favorite!”

Mr. Prepared’s™ new website, http://www.MrPrepared.com, acts as an online hub for information regarding emergency and disaster preparedness.  Families visiting the website will learn how to better prepare themselves and their home to withstand any disaster or emergency by learning from Mr. Prepared™.   Mr. Prepared™ also rates products on his “3P” system so families can know what they need to stay prepared.
