REO Expert, Frank Patrick, Says Demand For REO Agents Increasing As Number of Foreclosures Expected to Increase

Posted by Lindsay Dicks on Jul 28th, 2009

Frank Patrick, founder of The American Society of REO Specialists, says that demand for agents with REO training will likely increase in late 2009 and beyond.

Scottsdale, Ariz. – July 28, 2009 – According to Frank Patrick, one of the country’s top REO (Real Estate Owned/Bank Foreclosure) experts, a new onslaught of hundreds of thousands of foreclosures are destined to hit the market in the final half of 2009 and beyond.  This onslaught of new foreclosures will create a strong demand for agents with REO training to list and sell these properties.

During the recent nationwide moratorium on foreclosures, it is likely that many REO agents left the business as the inventory of foreclosed properties diminished.  From November of 2008 to June of 2009, new foreclosure numbers decreased, due mostly to this moratorium.  One of the reasons that may have contributed to a decreased number of REO agents, is that many were no longer able to afford their errors and omissions insurance, and are now ineligible to list foreclosed properties.  According to a survey recently released by the National Association of Realtors, only 13% of brokers still maintain their errors and omissions insurance.

“Since errors and omissions insurance is required for foreclosure sellers, those agents that let their coverage lapse, are now ineligible to list these properties.  As a new huge tidal wave of foreclosures hits the market, the existing REO agents will be overwhelmed and the banks, lenders and asset management companies will be forced to recruit new REO agents to list and sell these REO properties,” remarked Frank Patrick.

In addition to being the founder of the American Society of REO Specialists™ (ASREOS), Frank Patrick has also recently launched a new property preservation franchise, REO RESQ™. Patrick has recently been featured in Newsweek and USA Today for his expertise and success in the REO Sales and REO agent training industry.

Property Preservation Company, REO ResQ™, Teams With Leading Edge Companies to Recruit REO Agents

Posted by Lindsay Dicks on Jul 14th, 2009

REO RESQ™, a property preservation company, teams with full service REO asset management company, Leading Edge Companies, to recruit reo agents and property preservation contractors through The American Society of REO Specialists.

Orlando, Fla. – July 14, 2009 – Frank Patrick, REO specialist and founder of trash out business franchise, REO ResQ, is currently working with Rod Beever, President of Leading Edge Companies, to recruit new REO agents and Property Preservation Contractors.  REO ResQ™ and Leading Edge Companies, a full service REO asset management and field services company, are recruiting through the REO trade association, The American Society of REO Specialists™ (ASREOS,) specifically through the ASREOS website, http://www.ASREOS.com

In a recent teleconference call, Frank Patrick and Rod Beever discussed the state of the property preservation and REO industry, especially the growing opportunity for REO specialists to flourish during the current foreclosure increase across the country.

“Any time they (lenders) change the dynamics of their business, and outsource to a company like (Leading Edge Companies,) it opens up the opportunity for new people, who don’t yet have that relationship, to prove themselves,” remarked Frank Patrick.

“I think that’s going to grow.  I think we’ll see less and less business done directly between the agent and the contractor, the bank and contractor, or the bank and the agent.  I think that more business will come from an outsourcers like REO ResQ and Leading Edge Companies,” Patrick continued.

Since the recent nationwide foreclosure moratorium ended, the number of properties foreclosed on my lenders has increased and the number of new foreclosure filings is at an all time high.  As demand grows for field service companies, mortgage field services and trash out businesses, now seems to be the perfect time to start a property preservation company, such as REO RESQ™.

“I believe we have time yet before we get through this onslaught of REO business, I believe it may continue for another 2-5 years,” remarked Beever.

With the current state of the housing market, banks and financial institutions are finding that preserving and maintaining REO properties can be an overwhelming task. REO ResQ™ provides these companies with trained contractors to secure, clean out and maintain their foreclosed properties until they are sold.

REO Specialist, Frank Patrick, Discusses Current REO Listings Trends in Recent Article

Posted by Lindsay Dicks on Jun 26th, 2009

Frank Patrick, Property Preservation and REO Specialist, recently wrote about unemployment, the housing bubble, and why the housing market won’t improve soon.

Orlando, Fla. – June 26, 2009 – In a recent article entitled “REO Listing Trends: Unemployment and Housing Bubbles,” Frank Patrick, one of the country’s top property preservation and REO (Real Estate Owned) specialists, and the founder of The American Society of REO Specialists (ASREOS,) discussed why he felt that the housing market would not improve any time soon.

“While most real estate agents and brokers are desperately searching for signs that the housing market is recovering, those signs are simply not there yet.  The foreclosures keep flowing with no let up in sight,” wrote Patrick.

In the article, Frank Patrick points out that, while this is not necessarily good economic news for some, it is a great opportunity for those in the REO industry.  These include REO agents, REO brokers, REO Sellers and other REO companies.

Patrick writes, “The good news is that REO sellers are getting a lot of activity on their properties from cash-rich investors who know a great deal when they see it.  But with many more REO listings coming down the road, REO agents and brokers will still find themselves keeping very busy.”

The American Society of REO Specialists was founded in 2008 and is guided by the following four goals. First, to assist ASREOS members in making contact with banks, lenders, asset management companies and property preservation companies that need competent REO professionals to service their REO properties.  Second, to enable ASREOS members to network in a professional and supportive environment. Third, to offer ongoing dynamic cutting-edge REO resources to help members grow their business and their own personal performance in the REO marketplace, and finally, to provide a comprehensive directory of REO professionals for banks, lenders, asset management companies and property preservation companies.

The online home of ASREOS (http://www.asreos.com), the American Society of REO Specialists, is growing in leaps and bounds to help REO professionals gain a competitive edge and get access to these lucrative listings.  ASREOS is the first REO trade association founded by REO experts, and it features advice from top REO agents, access to an exclusive database of over 130 REO sellers, and profiles of its members in an online searchable directory of REO vendors that banks, lenders and asset managers can utilize when looking for local agents to list and sell their REO properties.  Find out more at www.ASREOS.com.
