RockWilder has worked with a virtual “who’s who” list of artists across the pop music spectrum including Jay-Z’s “Do It Again” (1999), Busta Rhymes and Erykah Badu’s “One” (1998), Xzibit’s Front 2 Back (2000), and De La Soul’s “I.C. Y’all” (2000). He also went on to work with Janet Jackson (several album tracks on All for You) and Destiny’s Child (the “Rockwilder Remix” of “Bootylicious” as well as “If” and “Free” from Destiny Fulfilled), and was the co-producer, with Missy Elliott, of the 2001 Christina Aguilera/Lil’ Kim/Mya/Pink cover of Labelle’s “Lady Marmalade” for the film Moulin Rouge! for which he received a Grammy Award. He also produced the song “Dirrty” for Aguilera featuring Redman using the original beat he produced for Redman’s song “Let’s Get Dirty (I Can’t Get in da Club)”. In the ’00s, Rockwilder produced several tracks on Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes’ Supernova (2001). The songs include “Hot” and “Rags 2 Riches”. Later in 2003, he made the collaboration between couple Kelis and Nas, “In Public”, being released from Kelis’ Tasty.

 Nick Nanton, Esq. writes a popular music industry blog (http://theindielawyer.blogspot.com) where nine weeks ago he predicted who would be in American Idol’s top two. Nanton’s top two predictions of both David Archuleta and David Cook came true last Wednesday night. Nanton’s blog, and predictions, caught the attention of the Salt Lake Tribune in an article titled “David Archuleta: What’s next for Utah’s ‘American Idol’ star?” by David Burger. Burger asked Nick Nanton, Julianne Hough (Dancing with the Stars), Erykah Badu (4 Time GRAMMY® Winning Singer) and a who’s who of pundits the following question, “What should David Archuleta do to have a successful career in music beyond these first 15 minutes of fame?” The article quoted Nanton as saying “I would advise David to focus on being the kind of singer he is. He strikes me as an adult contemporary singer, like a Josh Groban or Norah Jones, who could likely have some crossover success to the pop charts. If he tries to put on a show and look like something he’s not, he will get thrown to the wolves.”

 Asked about his quote in The Salt Lake Tribune, Nick Nanton, Esq. added, “I’m a huge fan of the marketing machine that the folks over at American Idol have put together.  You may not love the show, and I actually do, but you’ve got to respect the numbers they put up consistently.  Many people knock the process, but the fact of the matter is, American Idol lets “armchair quarterbacks” call the plays in the music business which is a lot of fun and has obviously been received very positively by fans across the country.  I wish David Archuletta and David Cook both the best of luck in the finals.  I think David Archuleta will win, and I think they will both sell lots of records…but if I had to guess, I would guess that David Cook will sell more records over the long run.”

San Diego California based rock band, In Fear and Faith, signs deal with Oregon based record label, Rise Records

Orlando, Fla.- April 29, 2008- Nick Nanton, Esq., Orlando based music lawyer, recently inked a deal between In Fear and Faith and Rise Records. In Fear and Faith, a San Diego, Calif. based hard-core rock band formed in the summer of 2006, quickly left their mark on the San Diego music community, and have since toured non-stop across the country.  Rise Records recently signed the band to a record deal and will release a new full-length album in November 2008.  In Fear and Faith will join the Rise Records roster alongside other bands such as, The Devil Wears Prada, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Before Their Eyes, Emarosa and Catherine.
