Health and Exercise Franchise SuperSlow Zone® San Jose Implementing Transitions Lifestyle System™

Posted by Lindsay Dicks on Aug 18th, 2009

SuperSlow Zone® at Silver Creek (San Jose), a distinctive health and exercise franchise, announces the integration of Transitions Lifestyle System™ to merge its healthy-eating and weight-loss program with SuperSlow® strength training.

San Jose, Calif. – August 18, 2009 – SuperSlow Zone® at Silver Creek recently teamed up with Transitions Lifestyle System™ to integrate its SuperSlow® strength training protocol with Transition’s™ healthy-eating and fat-loss system.  Combining Transitions Lifestyle System™ and the SuperSlow® method is an optimal exercise and health program for those who are looking to lose a few, or a lot, of unwanted pounds or inches, and those with medical concerns where a dedicated workout and diet protocol would substantially help.  People who are interested in achieving their ideal muscle-to-fat ratio, and want to look and feel great, will find the integration of these two programs especially valuable.

Marie Ortiz, owner of SuperSlow Zone® at Silver Creek says, “I’m thrilled to bring Transitions Lifestyle Program to the SuperSlow Zone® at Silver Creek.  The power of Transitions is that it’s not a diet, but a lifestyle change, with long-term benefits along with longer-lasting results – and I’m not just talking about weight loss!  It is a proven, science-based simple way of eating healthy…everyone can do it.  When clients learn to eat this way, they help clients change their lives, and when combined with SuperSlow’s® powerful workouts, well, results are pretty phenomenal!”

Transitions Lifestyle System™ is a scientifically-supported, food-based, educational lifestyle change, which includes natural, non-caffeine supplements to kick start faster weight (fat) loss.  SuperSlow® has been the leading strength training protocol for more than 26 distinguished years.  The SuperSlow® method is an expert-supervised, 20-minute, twice-a-week, strength training protocol that has proven to be the safest, most efficient and effective form of strength training available. SuperSlow Zone’s® clients are men and women of all ages who seek a professional service that delivers maximum results in a minimum amount of time. The addition of Transitions Lifestyle System™ to the SuperSlow® protocol is designed to bolster an already proven muscle-building system with the nutritional education and coaching that SSZ clients need to achieve optimal weight, fitness and health.

“Personally, I hate the ‘D’ word (diet), and while I lost weight strictly using SuperSlow®, I knew I had a bit more of a push to make – but didn’t want to go through the traditional, well, starving, I experienced with other programs.  In 12 weeks, I lost more than I was aiming for – 12 pounds, PLUS took over 4% off my body fat index.  And I never felt hungry, plus found it easy to integrate after I was finished,” remarked Ortiz.

At SuperSlow Zone® locations across the country, clients are already utilizing the integration of these two programs.  In six weeks, clients ranging in age from 25 to 59 years old have averaged a loss of 15 pounds each, along with a loss of 3 percent body fat and 12.2 inches.

Julie Vaiz, certified SuperSlow® instructor at the Silver Creek location, also went through the 12-week program recently.  Julie remarks, “I have tried many ‘fad diets’ and they all gave the same temporary result. I wanted something I could live by and incorporate into my everyday lifestyle.  I finally found it with Transitions. Transitions is so much more than a ‘diet’: it’s accountability and, most importantly, education. What I have learned from the program has become second nature to me in my daily life, and that is what being healthy and fit is all about.  Together with the SuperSlow Zone® workout, I feel that I have found the perfect combination to achieve the ‘lifestyle’ I have wanted for so long.”

Exercise Franchise SuperSlow Zone® San Jose Helps Local Retiree Improve Health and Golf Game

Posted by Lindsay Dicks on Jun 30th, 2009

SuperSlow Zone® at Silver Creek (San Jose) provides strength training to local retiree to help improve his fitness and golf game, with minimal time requirements.

San Jose, Calif. – June 30, 2009A little over six months ago, 61 year old, semi-retired businessman, Ken McDougall began applying the SuperSlow® method of strength training at the SuperSlow Zone® in San Jose, Calif.  Ken started utilizing the SuperSlow® protocol to increase his fitness, and to improve his ability to golf, a passion of his.

Recently, Ken remarked, “I started working out at SuperSlow Zone® to get fitter.  I was astonished that, after just the first session, I felt more energetic.  I’m also stunned by the amount of weight that I’m moving on some of the exercises!  My chiropractor has noticed better muscle tone, a trimmer torso, and greater flexibility and range of motion.”

“Ken is a very active, semi-retired businessman, who still has his hands in his contracting business, the nursery supply business, and other interests.  It’s inspiring to see how intensely he performs during his sessions,” notes Certified Instructor, David Gordon.

In addition, Ken happily added, “The SuperSlow® protocol has really helped my golf game.  I’ve developed better focus.  I can play multiple times a week and not be tired (and I carry my own bag!), and I’m consistently a club longer.”

“Ken was thrilled the other week that he was able to golf five separate days in one week – for him, a huge ‘win’ and core reason he’s working out with us,” notes owner Marie Ortiz.  ”This is what this is about – enabling the lifestyles we want to have, with a minimum time investment.”

SuperSlow® has been the leading strength training protocol for more than 26 distinguished years.  The SuperSlow® method is an expert-supervised, 20-minute, twice-a-week, strength training protocol that has proven to be the safest, most efficient and effective form of strength training available. Tri Cole, Executive Producer of Wellness Secrets TV, has a true passion around extending wellness to the busy lives of Silicon Valley .  ”As I interviewed hundreds of doctors, I realized that while their desire is centered around creating a healthy lifestyle for their patients, they have no central forum in which to communicate that passion out to the general public.  The Bay Area is an extremely busy area, with many of us stretched in so many directions, and we often don’t take care of ourselves in the process.  I wanted to create a platform to bring our community together centered on the many aspects of wellness – diet, physical fitness, stress reduction – where both the practitioners and the public can partner in creating healthy lifestyles throughout the Bay Area.”

Ms. Ortiz continues, “Part of my excitement is how robust and varied the players are – from nutrition, to skin, to back care, to massage, and exercise expertise, and more, Wellness Secrets TV provides the Bay Area a wealth of information on quality partners who are driven to make lives healthy. Now, I have easy access to a team of players dedicated to making a difference in others’ lives.”

San Jose, Calif. – December 18, 2008 – Clients at the SuperSlow Zone® Silver Creek showed their holiday spirit this December by donating clothes, toys, household items and cash, to help benefit the non-profit organization, Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence.  The SuperSlow Zone® facility was used as a drop-off point for donations from their clients and other members of the Evergreen community supporting Next Door’s annual Holiday Boutique event.

Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence is a non-profit organization devoted solely to providing life-saving options and safety resources for victims of domestic violence and their children.

“We filled up an SUV with toys, books, personal hygiene items, and more that have come out of the wonderful generosity of our clients and Evergreen neighbors” said SuperSlow Zone® owner and General Manager, Marie Ortiz.  “Many of those served by Next Door Solutions leave in a crisis, with little more than the clothes on their backs, and it’s just a wonder to have so many willing to give from their hearts to make their lives just a little bit easier during this economically challenging season.”

In addition to donating items of need for victims of domestic violence and their families, SuperSlow Zone® held a silent auction to help raise funds for the group.  The clients were asked to bid on the ability to make the instructor of their choice work out on two machines of their choice.  The chosen instructor was General Manager Marie Ortiz, after a group of clients pooled their donations together to have the chance to work out the one that pushes them so hard week in and week out.

“All I can say,” grinned Marie, “is that they might have gotten me on the weights THIS time, but I have them every week – so watch out!”

Exercise Franchise SuperSlow Zone® San Jose Optimizes Muscle Development With Univera LifeSciences® Products

Posted by Lindsay Dicks on Nov 26th, 2008

SuperSlow Zone® San Jose adds high-performance line of natural products to optimize the results of SuperSlow® strength training.

San Jose, Calif. – November 26, 2008 – The SuperSlow Zone® has done it again.  The concept that revolutionized convenience and effectiveness in strength training through two, twenty-minute workouts has added a high-performance line of natural products from Univera LifeSciences® to give SuperSlow Zone® clients even greater results.

Univera® products were selected to ensure that SuperSlow Zone® clients achieve maximum results in minimum time.  A select set of Univera® products increase the body’s ability to repair itself, optimizing SuperSlow Zone® workouts so clients optimize their muscle, strength, metabolism, focus, joint health and overall energy levels.  In short, it gives them more of what they came to the SuperSlow Zone® for in the first place.

Marie Ortiz, owner of SuperSlow Zone® San Jose, said, “The Univera® products are a wonderful complement to the SuperSlow workout, and our clients’ needs.  From enabling a more efficient workout, to addressing joint issues, or simply providing a platform for healthier living, the quality of Univera’s® line is proven.  It is no wonder SuperSlow® supports them!”

“I found Univera® products after reading the book The Metabolic Plan by Steven Cherniske, M.S.  It was the most scientifically-grounded book, in nutrition and focused on the ‘value of muscle‘ in our daily living that I had ever read.  Getting one’s metabolism right and their muscle mass up are the foundation for longevity,” said Madeline Ross, CEO of the SuperSlow Zone® Corporate.

“I was so impressed with the comprehensive nature of his work that I flew out to meet Univera® chief science officer, Stephen Cherniske, to learn about his products,” Ross said. “Then the world of Univera® opened, and it was unavoidable – we needed to offer these products to our clients.  As we age, we have to give our body the best natural compounds available to maximize our strength training efforts.  Univera® does this… because our clients say so.”

Univera® products are plant-based and are developed in two full-scale DNA genomics and proteomics labs.  This level of science, in natural products, is unheard of today.  In addition to research and development, the parent company fully integrates a “farm to family” approach whereby they grow and harvest their raw materials in five countries, manufacture at a pharmacological level, and distribute throughout North America and Korea.

Univera® products enable our clients’ bodies to naturally flip on its ability to regenerate at the DNA level, thus acting as both insurance for and a potentiator of their SuperSlow Zone® workout and results.

Univera® products help the body uncharacteristically repair itself at levels of a much younger person.   The results speak for themselves.  “Once they add Univera® products to their workout, they’re hooked,” Ross said.

SuperSlow Zone® Silver Creek, Calif., a distinctive health and exercise franchise, will be participating and showcasing at The Senior Health Fair sponsored by San Jose Medical Group.

Silver Creek, Calif. – October 9, 2008 – SuperSlow Zone® Silver Creek (San Jose), a distinctive national exercise and health franchise that offers SuperSlow® strength training, will be holding a booth at the Senior Health Fair in San Jose, Calif. on Saturday, October 11th. The fair is being hosted and organized by the San Jose Medical Group, and is sponsored by The Foundation For Wellness Professionals.

SuperSlow® Zone Silver Creek will be showcasing their revolutionary strength training methods to San Jose area seniors and showcasing how the SuperSlow® method can help seniors of all fitness levels to safely gain muscle strength and tone, without long, vigorous workout routines.

Marie Ortiz, owner and operator of SuperSlow Zone® Silver Creek, notes just how important getting health information and support to seniors is. “In tough economic times like we’re experiencing today, taking care of one’s health can often take a secondary place in priorities. Finding ways to ensure we maintain or even improve our health is probably the most sound financial investment we can all make – and the San Jose Medical Group’s Health Fair offers wonderful opportunities for seniors to seek alternatives to help them out.” Marie Ortiz also notes “One of the core reasons we started our SuperSlow® location had to do with the life-enabling aspects it provides to so many.  I have senior citizens who have joined primarily to improve their existing quality of life as their core objective.  From being able to successfully care for their grandchildren, to overcoming the pain from arthritis, to generally increasing their mobility so they can be independent, we have many success stories already that we can share – and we’ve only been open five months!”

SuperSlow Zone® Silver Creek is the first South Bay Area exercise facility to offer the SuperSlow® exercise protocol. SuperSlow® has been the leading strength training protocol for more than 26 distinguished years.  The SuperSlow® method is an expert-supervised, 20-minute, twice-a-week, strength training protocol that has proven to be the safest, most efficient and effective form of strength training available.

The Senior Health Fair will be taking place from 10:00am – 2:00pm on Saturday, October 11, 2008.  The fair is being held at San Jose Medical Group, McKee Branch, 227 N. Jackson Ave., San Jose, CA 95116.  For more information about the fair, call (408) 278-3180.
