Orlando Based Board Certified Phlebologist and Aesthetic Surgeon, Dr. Roger Murray, MD, Discusses Aesthetics

Dr. Roger Murray, MD, an Orlando-based phlebologist and aesthetic surgeon, recently discussed his artistic point of view as an aesthetic surgeon.

Orlando, Fla. – February 25, 2010 – Dr. Roger Murray, MD, Orlando-based anti-aging specialist and aesthetic surgeon, recently posted to his website’s blog, (http://www.TheMurrayCenter.com/blog), an explanation of aesthetics and how he, as an artist and sculptor, approaches aesthetic surgery.  From a medical point of view, Dr. Murray explains, the face is “your computer and home to most all of your senses,” but from an artistic point of view, it is about “emotions and sensations.”

Dr. Murray wrote, “As a sculptor I am mostly concerned with texture, size, shape, proportions and volume. And I am also starting with a square block of marble, whereas in the human face we already have a set of defined proportions and interactions. So I look at the face and think, restore, enhance and rejuvenate.”

“My job as an aesthetic surgeon is try and make you look as close to your best, which is usually about 10-15 years younger and enhance what I can and leave alone that which defines you,” continued Dr. Murray.

Dr. Murray’s blogs offer several short summaries of varying topics relevant to his practice.  Recently, some of these topics include what’s new in medicine, cell phones and Alzheimer’s disease and Werners Disease, among others.  Dr. Murray specializes in anti-aging, cosmetic surgery, vascular surgery, phlebology and family practice, among others.
