A portion of the royalties earned from You Are The #1 Target will be donated to the St. Jude Foundation.

Cathy first cut her teeth in technology at Exxon and Bear Stearns before entering the small-to-medium business world managing the day-to-day operations and technical service delivery for a regional IT company. From the beginning of her tenure at Exxon, Cathy was grounded in security and controls before cybersecurity was even “a thing.” She recalls weekly meetings to review upcoming changes in the Exxon computing infrastructure and their impact on security and operations. At that time, the security concerns were primarily focused internally because the Internet was not even in use. As with many things in life, timing is everything and for Cathy, rolling out the first local area network in the Exxon ECS company led to many opportunities in the future to gain knowledge, experience and expertise in the various operational and security concerns facing organizations today.

Cathy founded IT Radix in 2008 and is a hands-on business owner. As IT Radix has grown, she has worked in almost every position at IT Radix including as its first technical consultant. While she no longer carries a toolbox, she has over 30 years’ experience selecting, implementing and supporting business technology. She can talk the talk because she walked the walk.

From the early viruses to today’s sophisticated social engineering attacks, IT Radix has assisted its clients in identifying and pro-actively addressing its operations and security as a Managed Service Provider (MSP) and more importantly, technical consultants. In 2018, IT Radix was named to the CRN MSP 500 list as a leading Managed Service Provider in the Pioneer 250 category. In 2017, IT Radix was recognized as one of the IT service industry leaders in New Jersey’s Morris County being named as one of the “Best of the Best.”

Cathy graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and went on to obtain an M.S. in the Management of Technology from Stevens Institute of Technology. Cathy was recognized as one of NJBIZ 2018 Best 50 Women in Business and as one of the Top 25 Leading Women Entrepreneurs in New Jersey. Additionally, she is a member of numerous trade organizations and technology mastermind groups. She often mentors young engineers as well as other business owners and managers in the information technology industry and beyond.

When not helping organizations grow, Cathy enjoys sailing, cross-country skiing and relaxing in New Jersey and Vermont with her husband, Doug and son, Alex.
