Milwaukee Wisconsin Dentist Tony Cigno Publishes a New Article Dealing with Tooth Sensitivity Solutions and Treatments

Tony Cigno, Wisconsin family dentist, shares how to manage tooth sensitivity.

Greenfield, WI — December 1, 2016 — Wisconsin Dentist Tony Cigno recently published an article titled, “Don’t Be So Sensitive! When Tooth Sensitivity Gets You Down, Do This…

Dr. Tony CignoDr. Cigno starts off the piece talking about the pain of tooth sensitivity that ranges from mildly uncomfortable to nearly excruciating. He then shares the most common causes of this dental issue.

Dr. Cigno explains, “Most often, tooth sensitivity occurs when the protective enamel that covers your teeth begins to disintegrate or is damaged. However, teeth can also become sensitive with they are cracked, broken, or chipped or when there is a cavity present.”

He goes on to say that regardless of the cause, there is no doubt tooth sensitivity can be painful—even more so than some realize until they experience it for themselves.

From there, Dr. Cigno shares tips for dealing with this issue. For example, considering what toothpaste you use since many of the popular whitening toothpastes can damage precious enamel and dramatically increase sensitivity of teeth. Other treatments for sensitive teeth he mentions are regular dental care, brushing easier, and preventing bruxism (grinding the teeth).
