Motivational Speaker Expert Sandy Olson Talks About Making Luck And Making Success.

Sandy Olson, Speaker and Owner of Pathway to Success, a motivational company on luck, success, belief and contemplation.

Frederick, MD – March 20, 2018 – Sandy Olson, owner and speaker with Pathway to Success, a motivation company, recently published an article on her website titled “What’s Luck Got To Do With Success Or Lack Of It.” Ms. Olson, no doubt inspired by St. Patrick’s Day, acknowledges that belief in lucky objects makes one lucky.

Olson writes, “I just read this quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson who said, “Shallow men believe in luck. Strong men believe in cause and effect.” In other words, they believe that you “reap what you sow” or that as Lucius Annaeus Seneca said, “Luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity.”

“I’m with Emerson and Seneca,” says Olson, adding, “I don’t believe in luck. I believe in preparation and setting goals and attracting your desires to you through deliberate effort.”

According to Olson, “So many people still believe that ‘luck’ will pull them through.” She then asks, “How many people will you encounter on St. Patrick’s Day who talk about lucky four-leaf clovers and a lucky rabbit foot or a specific T-shirt or other material object being responsible for their good fortune?” Olson adds, “I don’t want to be too hasty here. In effect, if theirs is a strongly held belief, that will make a person appear to have better luck than the person who believes they are unlucky.”

“The point is this,” says Olson, “whatever you believe, whether you believe you can or you cannot, you’re right! Henry Ford is credited with coining that wonderful saying.”

Olson states, “Belief has everything to do with our good fortune or lack of it. Cause and effect can be read as “belief and effect.” The cause is a thought. The effect is the result of the thought. You can see this clearly in business, relationships, and all endeavors personal or professional.”
