New York Dental Practice Offers Treatment for Adults with Crooked Teeth

Dr. William P. Caldon, D.M.D., co-owner of Plattsburgh’s High Peaks Dental, gives hope to adults who want to improve their smile without braces.

Plattsburgh, NY — March 9, 2016 — Renowned Plattsburgh dentist Dr. William Caldon published a new blog post entitled “Straight Talk About Crooked Teeth.” In the post, he discusses why you’re never too old to improve your smile and the oral health risks associated with crooked teeth.

William CaldonSays Caldon, “If you’ve reached adulthood with less-than-straight teeth, you may think there’s no hope for a straight smile. But you’re wrong! It’s now possible to straighten your teeth without the embarrassment and inconvenience of metal braces. Whether it’s for your wedding, a new job or a needed self-confidence boost, a beautiful smile has benefits for every age. There are many reasons to straighten your smile, even as an adult. Crooked teeth can cause an improper bite leading to speech or chewing difficulties, jaw problems, chipped teeth and increased wear on your tooth structure. It’s also harder to thoroughly clean between teeth that are too close together or overlapping – meaning you’re more likely to have issues with gum disease, bad breath and tooth decay as you age. Teeth that are too far apart leave open spaces that trap food particles, which can also lead to a host of oral issues.”

Dr. Caldon has been a co-owner of High Peaks Dental since 1996 after serving in the

United States Air Force for 20 years and retiring as a Colonel. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville and his Bachelor’s from Thomas More College. In 2013, USA Today featured Caldon as one of America’s Premier Dentists.
