Dr. Brad Levine, Orlando Chiropractor, DOT physicals provider, and owner at Workflow Employer Services publishes a new article talking about mild blood pressure and some ways to reduce it naturally.
Altamonte Springs, FL — March 14, 2018— Workflow Employer Services and DOT physical location owner, Dr. Brad Levine recently published a new article on his website, “2019 DOT Physical Blood Pressure Refresher: Natural Ways to Lower Mild High Blood Pressure.”
High blood pressure a can be a problem for many people, but it can be job-threatening for DOT truck drivers. DOT drivers must pass the DOT physical initially, and then every two years, in order to get and maintain their commercial license. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can pose a threat to that DOT medical certification or medical card renewal.
Therefore, says Dr. Levine, “If you are a DOT driver who falls into the high blood pressure category – or even the elevated blood pressure category – and especially, if you need to get or have your DOT physical coming due – you will want to take measures to bring it down to a safe pressure.”
One reason why the DOT is so hard on uncontrolled high blood pressure is because it can often lead to other or additional significant medical conditions. This is why even mildly elevated blood pressure should be addressed by drivers as soon as it’s noticed, before it gets out of hand.
Furthermore, at the early stages explains Dr. Levine, there are often dietary and lifestyle changes that can be made – natural methods – to lower blood pressure that is just beginning to creep upward out of the normal range.
In the remainder of the article, Dr. Levine provides some of those specific suggestions such as regular exercise, reducing sodium intake, and eating more potassium-rich foods.
