Tax Expert and Advisor Barry G. Fowler, EA Questions Safety of Sending Info To IRS

Barry G. Fowler, EA, leading expert in tax resolution issues and CEO of Taxation Solutions reveals a story about an IRS agent indicted for stealing taxpayer’s identities and filing for tax refunds with their names, which led him to thoughts about cockroaches.

Houston, TX – May 22, 2017 – Barry G. Fowler, CEO of Taxation Solutions, posted a new blog on the company website entitled “And You Thought It Was Safe To Send Your Info to The IRS,” in which Mr. Fowler wonders if there is nowhere sensitive information is safe.

Barry FowlerFowler writes, “It looks as if taxpayers have to be wary and skeptical even when they send their personal information to the IRS.” He continues adding, “This government agency is supposed to be trusted with our personal information. Especially at a time when criminals are posing as IRS agents over the telephone, through email, through our employers human resources departments and through schools you would think the IRS itself would be safe.”

Continuing, Fowler states, “I just read on AccountingToday.com that, “A grand jury in Georgia has indicted an Internal Revenue Service employee for stealing taxpayers’ identities and filing for tax refunds with their names.”

“For some reason,” says Fowler, “my thoughts turn to cockroaches. I once heard that if you see one cockroach you can be sure that there are many more that you just don’t see.”
