Tax Resolution Attorney John P. Willis Tells Readers What They Should Never Do If They Receive An IRS Tax Lien Notice

Tax resolution attorney John Willis, CEO and founder of IRSALLSTAR tells readers they must never ignore a lien notice from the IRS even though they have ignored paying their taxes.

Fairhope, AL, August 2, 2019: Tax Attorney John Willis, CEO and founder of IRSALLSTAR.com, recently published a blog on his website entitled “What Not To Do When You Receive An IRS Lien Notice.” Mr. Willis insists recipients of tax lien notices take them seriously.

John P WillisAs Willis states, “The IRS sends out lien notices to taxpayers who do not pay their federal taxes.” He adds, “You know who you are.” He continues, “However, if you have not yet received a lien notice from the IRS, and you don’t pay your taxes, you can expect one to arrive sooner or later. And it’s important that you don’t ignore the notice in the same way that you ignored paying your tax debt.”

According to Willis, “The most important thing to do is to respond to the IRS lien notice in a timely fashion.” He elaborates, “You can do this on your own, but if you are behind and owe the IRS a substantial amount, you’ll be better off working with a tax resolution attorney.” He emphasizes, “Whatever the case, do NOT avoid the notice.”

Willis goes on to write about a fake lien notice. He states, “There’s a scam in the works in the U.S. that is fooling some people which involves a letter threatening an IRS lien or levy.” He elaborates, “As the scammers get wiser, the schemes look a little more real. This one involves a letter sent via regular mail to the taxpayer. The lien or levy is based on bogus overdue taxes owed to a non-existent agency. If you pay your taxes, you’ll know this is a scam. The scammers hope to get lucky and send a letter to someone who hasn’t paid their taxes.”

“The fake agency is called the “Bureau of Tax Enforcement,” says Willis. He adds, “There is no such agency.
