Certified Elder Care Attorney, Victoria Collier provides a few important healthcare tips for seniors and retirees traveling during the spectacular fall season though they apply to travel during any season.

Decatur, GA, October 26, 2017: Victoria L. Collier, founder of The Elder & Disability Law Firm, has posted a new blog on her law firm’s website entitled “Senior Travel Tips For Every Season.” Travel is what many retirees look forward to and as Ms. Collier reminds in her latest blog, “Before you hit the road, though, it’s important to have a clear understanding of your healthcare benefits in the event any medical emergencies should arise while you are away from home.”

Collier provides a few tidbits about Medicare coverage including the fact that, “original Medicare and Medicare Supplemental (MediGap) Plans are valid and must be accepted across the country by any provider who accepts Medicare insurance.”

“For international travelers,” says Collier, “Medicare Supplemental plans are available to cover medical care required during overseas travel.”
