Estate & Asset Protection Attorney, Victoria Collier reposts tips to help readers avoid becoming victims of Ponzi schemes while suggesting establishing a solid estate and asset protection plan instead of being seduced by scammers.
DECATUR, GA, August 29, 2018: Victoria L. Collier, founder of The Estate & Asset Protection Law Firm, has posted a new blog on her law firm’s website entitled “Don’t Let A Ponzi Scheme Scam You Out Of Your Retirement Funds.” Ms. Collier urges caution especially to those who have money they can’t afford to lose to Ponzi schemes.
Collier states, “Retirees are frequently the target of scam artists.” She continues adding, “Ponzi schemes can be promoted by local radio and TV personalities. They can be promoted through your church, senior recreation centers and country clubs. And they can rob you of your retirement.” “If you have a solid retirement plan, along with an estate and asset protection plan in place,” writes Collier, “you would not necessarily fall for the “too good to be true” promises of the typical Ponzi scheme.”
Collier cautions readers, “Don’t play Russian Roulette with your money despite the fact that all your friends are doing it or despite the popularity of whoever is promoting it.” She adds, “AARP has posted a story about a 72-year-old man who was scammed out of $51,000 in a Ponzi scheme promoted by his favorite local talk show host.”
Collier reprints the tips provide by AARP. She also states, “ If you need help with a retirement plan and estate or asset plan, please call our offices today.”
