The Estate & Asset Protection Law Firm Founder, Victoria L Collier, Discusses The Importance Of Life Insurance Coverage For Children

Estate & Asset Protection Attorney, Victoria Collier discusses something no parent wants to think about and shares statistics in hopes of inspiring all parents to prepare for the unexpected.

DECATUR, GA, October 18, 2018: Victoria L. Collier, founder of The Estate & Asset Protection Law Firm, has posted a new article on her law firm’s website entitled “Protect Your Children And Build A Strong Financial Base,” in which Ms. Collier considers life insurance coverage for children essential considering recent statistics.

Victoria CollierCollier writes, “It’s back to school time and those of you with young children are already starting to prepare for sending them off to school.” She adds, “Or, if you have very young children you may be imagining what it will be like when you send your little one off to school for the first time.”

“No matter how old your children are,” Collier writes, “the one thing no parent wants to think about is having to deal with an unexpected tragic event. Unfortunately, we live in a society that doesn’t have our children’s best interest at heart.” She emphasizes, “So, as parents we must all take greater precautions than ever before.”

According to Collier, “One of those precautions is whole life insurance for your children.” She continues adding, “Most adults put off thinking about having their own life insurance policy let alone a policy for a child. But, today, as never before, it is of utmost importance.”

“There are many things that can occur in a child’s life,” says Collier, adding, “Accidents happen frequently. Unexpected illnesses occur. A life insurance policy for a child is a great way to provide for care in the event of accidents or illness. And, for children who do develop illnesses that might otherwise prevent them from qualifying for insurance later in life, a child policy will guarantee they will always qualify for coverage.”

In addition to a list of fairly common accidents, Collier shares that “According to a study conducted by the American Academy of Pediatrics, every day, 19 children are shot in America. Nearly 1,300 kids under the age of 18 die every year from gunshot wounds, and almost 6,000 go to the hospital for non-fatal firearm injuries.”
