Top Carolinas Orthodontic Professional Kerry White Brown Releases New Article Explaining Why Forgiveness Is So Important

Dr. Kerry White Brown, an esteemed Orthodontist with nearly 20 years’ experience, reveals why forgiveness – for yourself and others – is something you must practice.

Columbia, South Carolina — June 29, 2017 — Carolina Orthodontist Kerry Brown White recently published a new article, “Why the Most Important Gift You Can Give Yourself Is Forgiveness – for Yourself and Others – and How to Do It.”

As Dr. White Brown says, “As women – mothers, wives, partners, daughters, friends, and more – we are often our worst critic. We are so hard on ourselves—much harder than we are on most anyone else.”

She adds that we consistently judge ourselves too. And if we make a mistake we beat ourselves up pretty bad.

Dr. White Brown also explains that we are often hard on others in our life too—holding on to forgiveness like it’s water and we are stranded on a desert island.

Of course, she concedes, it can be hard to get past some things. Yet, forgiveness is not something we are giving “just because,” but rather, because we cannot afford to NOT do so.

Dr. White Brown then gives some specific reasons why we must learn to forgive ourselves and others to be productive, successful, and happy in life. One specific reason that likely resonates with most people, is that life is too short for anger and resentment.

As she says, “Life is short, and nobody gets out alive. Thus, harboring judgement, bitterness, and resentment – toward yourself or others – is a waste of time. Often, it shuts you down and closes you up, meaning you miss out on much of life’s beauty and greatness.”

Other reasons to choose forgiveness that she provides are accepting that no one is making you be mad or angry at yourself and no one is forcing you to not forgive others either.

From there, she provides four specific ways to help you learn to practice forgiveness.
