Jonesport, ME – July 27, 2022 – Co-Founder of “icare2”, Joy L. Alley, recently signed a publishing deal to co-write the forthcoming book titled The Turning Point published by CelebrityPress^® LLC. In addition to Alley’s professional expertise in professional growth, the publication features content from world-renowned entrepreneur, professional speaker, and Best-Selling Author^® Jack Canfield. The book will be released under the CelebrityPress^® LLC imprint, a leading business book publisher that publishes books from ThoughtLeaders^® around the world.

After living several years as a young military spouse and new mom, Joy and her husband, Colon, moved back home to live and mission in the small fishing communities of Downeast Maine. Joy has been a Registered Nurse for over 35+ years now. She has had many opportunities to serve families, young and old – from nurturing the new mom as her baby takes his/her first breath to comforting the dying as they breathe their last. She has the unique experiences with and the heartfelt gratitude for ALL the people who she has been privileged to have come alongside, to help ease and comfort their pains, as well as join in their joys and celebrations.

In 2014, together with her childhood bestie, Nancy and Joy co-founded a community group called “icare2”. Our mission was to “help hurting people” and our vision was to help “save lives.” We started this group in an effort to support families and schools with drug prevention and education resources as well as treatment opportunities.

In this current season of her life, Joy “gets to be” a full-time, overtime, all-the-time grandparent, “co-parenting” her oldest grandson with her husband and her daughter. She loves babies, sunrises, praise and worship/country music, movie dates, picnics, boating, camping, family/friend vacations, and gatherings to celebrate holidays, milestones, and life. The beach is her happy place! Being on or in the water, whether it be ocean, lake, pool, or tub, is her safe haven and where she feels closest to God.

Their new mission for “icare2” is to “build bridges that connect to lasting relationships,” and their new vision is to “Help people feel safe, accepted and loved” Their team continues to bring together those who “truly” believe, “truly” care and “truly” want to help make “God’s Light Shine Brighter” in this dimming world! We Will leave a legacy of our God-given gifts in our homes, businesses, and communities, one that Will “nurture” the hearts of people and “ignite” the hearts of our children and grandchildren for multiple generations to come! Oh yes, and we Will have lots of fun together along the way!!
