John R. Salkowski is a retired Police Officer after an impressive 15yr career. He is also a survivor of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) from a shooting incident that eventually ended his career. John has been diagnosed with this illness since 2000. He has received numerous Distinguished Awards for Bravery, Merit and Unit Citations. He has also received several employee recognition awards for his work within the community.
