About Edward Fitzgerald:

Edward Fitzgerald has an eclectic business background having started, owned and operated businesses on three continents, the first at the age of 23 in 1992. Edward has been a trusted advisor to startups, multi-national organisations, NGOs and Governments. He has provided hands-on support, coaching and advice to almost 100 start-ups ranging from entrepreneurs in the making to VC funded Silicon Valley success stories.

He has been privileged to have worked in 80 countries around the world and is actively looking to double this to 160 countries!

Edward is both a Mentor and Coach to University Graduates and Undergraduates as well as business clients. As a consequence of these engagements and running entrepreneurial boot camps, he firmly believes that it is essential that a number of key skills need to be taught at a far younger age in schools and high schools. Skills that foster a positive mental attitude, self-awareness, self-worth, true value, leadership, entrepreneurial endeavour and of course the power of thought!

Whilst Edward has a passion for technology and sailing, it is on those rare occasions when both are co-joined in a project that he loves most. His own yacht racing endeavours have taken him to South Africa, the Mediterranean Sea, North Atlantic, the Caribbean Sea, Australia, non-stop Round Britain and Ireland, plus countless Offshore and Fastnet Races. As with any sport, Edward has seen success in its many forms from trophies to pure survival – just thankful that he got both crew and boat home intact. As skipper and helm of the smallest yacht in the fleet (J-Fever.com, a J-92 at just 30 feet / 9.2m long), the yachts were battered by high seas and violent storm Force 11 winds in the Royal Ocean Racing Club’s Inaugural GPS Yacht Race . RORC organised the race to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the first Fastnet Race held in 1925. Edward and his crew took home the Talisker Trophy winning the race overall, despite minor damage to the boat his philosophy of ‘never give in’ resulted them being the only yacht to finish.

However, it is the journey he undertook utilising the power of thought, which has had the most profound impact on his life and that of his family. A journey that ultimately led him to a full recovery from his head injury and made him conscious to the secrets of achieving success.

Subsequently, Edward has become passionate about equipping people with the necessary tools to enable them to make a positive impact on both their lives and those around them. Providing them with the choices, to own their life and enable them to think and grow rich in the process.

Edward, an international speaker, has spoken to audiences of around 200 on a variety of regulatory, trade, technology and entrepreneurship topics since 1994. Edward’s focus since fully recovering from his head injury, has been to continue speaking internationally on the power of personal development and entrepreneurship.

Edward is also co-author with Brian Tracy on their forthcoming book The Success Blueprint.
