About Terrence Boylan

Terrence Boylan is a passionate Information Technology Executive, Entrepreneur, Speaker, Author, and IT Strategist. He is the Chief Executive Officer of PacketLogix, Inc. of Warren, Rhode Island, which he founded in 2003. Terrence is a cum laude graduate of Harvard. In 2018, he became an Alumni of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program.

From the age of ten, when he rewired his parent’s antique house so that he could have a telephone in his room, Terrence has understood the practical application of technology to solve real-world problems.

As a stockbroker for Lehman Brothers, he led his peers by automating sales and marketing programs with a very large and clunky laptop computer – bleeding edge technology for the late 1980s.

As Director of Marketing for non-profit estate planning associations in Boston, he was responsible for the complete overhaul of all IT systems, development, deployment and administration of the largest database of insurance providers in New England. He worked diligently to keep all systems up, running, and available for business. It was in this position, he learned about and understood the real value of “system availability” – a term which would later define his future enterprise, PacketLogix.

In 2003, Mr. Boylan formed PacketLogix, Inc. with the sole aim of providing tools and solutions to enterprise customers throughout the northeast. In the close to two decades of practice, PacketLogix has attracted an impressive list of discerning customers from large pharmaceuticals and Ivy League schools to hedge funds, as well as all branches of the United States military, and even The White House in Washington DC.

Mr. Boylan has been hired to travel to Baghdad, Iraq to help design, troubleshoot, and train US military contractors on networking and wireless networks for the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation program under SPAWAR for the US Navy. He has worked in other middle eastern areas remediating various networking problems.

Terrence Boylan is very active with local Boy Scouts. During his spare time, he can be found fishing, hiking, or camping with friends and family. He lives in the East Bay of Rhode Island with his wife Jennifer, and two amazing and energetic boys.
