About Shelly Salas:

Shelly loves real estate. She got her real estate license back in 2005 assisting her husband Luis. She was a full-time college student at the time but wanted to help her husband. As time went by and Shelly started meeting their clients, she found a love for this field. Shelly switched her degree and the rest as they say, is history.

Shelly is a first-generation child of migrant parents. Her parents instilled in her the need to work hard and always reach for her goals. Shelly’s dad told her at a very young age “Mija, if you don’t want to be a migrant worker like me, get your education and do whatever you want to do in life.” Those words have always stuck with her. It’s those words that build Shelly’s fundamental desire and determination to do something she truly enjoyed in life.

Shelly decided to join the Army when she was 19 years old. She loved her time in the military. Being able to serve our country is something that Shelly is very proud of.  She was the first one in her family to join the military. It was scary for her parents when she told them. However, it was the best decision Shelly ever made. But now she can proudly say that she is an Army Veteran.

Shelly is a proud mother of three amazing kids. She has an amazing and supportive husband whom she loves dearly. Her family is her world. It takes special people to be able to handle a real estate agent’s crazy and hectic schedule, and they are truly the best family Shelly could’ve ever dreamed of.

Shelly graduated from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor (Go Crusaders!). It was tough going to school full-time with small children, a husband and trying to work, but again, Shelly’s dad’s words were always in the back of her head. She was determined to graduate. When she did, Shelly became the first person in her family to do so. It was such a great milestone to reach.

Throughout Shelly’s career, she has received distinguished awards for her overall real estate success. She has been featured in The Wall Street Journal several years for being in the top 250 agents/teams nationwide. Shelly has also received several top corporate awards for her successful real estate transactions from her corporate clients.

Shelly has sold over a thousand homes throughout her career and every time a client buys a home she gets the same happy feeling for them that she did when she first started.
