Tax Resolution Attorney, Jeffrey T. Jones Turns Fear to Confidence with Taxpayers Bill of Rights.

Charleston, WV, March 27, 2015: Tax resolution specialist attorney Jeffrey T. Jones, founder of the Law Offices of Jeffrey T. Jones, and best-selling author of “Protect and Defend” has posted a new article on his website entitled “Did You Know the IRS has a Taxpayers Bill of Rights to Protect You?” Jones is doing his part in trying to turn the tide of fear sweeping the country over IRS tax scams.

Jones writes, “Amid a buzz of massive IRS scams including corrupt filing agents, identity theft where people file fraudulent returns and people impersonating IRS agents, it is sometimes difficult to remember that the IRS, while imposing, is not an irrational government body.” He continues,  “Sure the IRS wants to collect the full amount of all the taxes that are owed from U.S. citizens, however the IRS does not ever attempt to accomplish that in threatening ways.”

Jones reminds readers why they pay taxes then explains, “So while we are in the midst of tax season with so much fear swirling around, from the fear of being audited to getting scammed or getting into some other kind of issue with the IRS, I want to share some information most taxpayers are probably not aware of.”

The good news, according to Jones is that, “The IRS actually has created the Taxpayer Bill of Rights modeled on our Constitution’s Bill of Rights. As a tax attorney, I am fully aware of the Taxpayers Bill of Rights, which allows me to be more effective while working through the system. However, I think it is important for all Americans to be aware that the IRS actually encourages its employees to respect the taxpayers they deal with.”  His reasoning as he explains is that, “Armed with this information, taxpaying citizens can replace fear with absolute confidence should they receive a threatening phone call from someone that claims to be an IRS agent or if they get any kind of notice from the IRS.”

Jones lists the 10 parts of the Tax Payer Bill of Rights and advises that they are there for your protection and the protection of every law-abiding taxpayer in the U.S.

Finally, Jones assures readers, “Unless you have been knowingly involved in criminal behavior, there is no reason to fear the IRS.”
